Wondering whether it’s worthwhile joining Periscope or not?
Will it grow your business and get you more leads and sales? The answer is a very big yes to both these questions and the good news is that it can do this from your very first scope.
There are a number of ways to monetize Periscope.
The simplest way is to create a giveaway and add the optin link to your profile. When some of your “peeps” (that’s your Periscope viewers) ask about your business you can direct them to this link. Others who are looking at your bio may just click the link out of curiosity especially if you have got an attractive bio.
Another option is to drive people to your website by having it on your bio and mentioning it on your scopes instead of having a giveaway.
If you are selling a physical product you can display it on your scope and demonstrate how to use it if appropriate.
You can offer coaching either free or paid or even create a membership site. You can send them to your facebook page or groups..
You can build up your followers fast by scoping consistently and following other scopers especially those who have a large amount of followers in your niche.
You can make helpful comments on their scopes and other viewers may decide to click on your comment and check out your bio
On each scope you should always ask your viewers to share your scope with their Twitter followers and Facebook followers – this brings even more followers to your scopes.
The possibilities are limitless, because you are able to engage with your prospects on live-streaming to a greater extent than with any other social media. These are just a few ideas and the same advice applies as for most other social media platforms – just do it consistently and you will get results that will surprise you.
You may be hesitant to make your first scope – this simple 9 step Periscope formula will make it easy for you to start scoping with confidence from day one.
Just follow the simple steps and you will be scoping like a pro. Just click the button below for instant access.
I have grown my Twitter following to over 17,000. When I first opened the account I didn’t realise just how important it was to get targeted followers. If this has happened to you all is not lost because you can follow targeted followers and unfollow those who aren’t.
So to gain more followers on Twitter, you will find that my current strategies will help you to find followers who are likely to become leads and buyers. The numbers are not nearly as important as the quality of the followers.
Use Twitter analytics to check your profile visits, tweet impressions, mentions and followers. Keep testing and tweaking your bio and take note of which tweets are getting the most engagement (both your own and other peoples). The end result will be that you will achieve the desired outcome – more targeted followers.
There are a number of apps you can use to schedule your tweets -status brew is my favourite. I landed in twitter jail for about a week, so I decided to add my tweets manually for a while. I am not sure whether this happened because of the automation or whether it was the fact that I un-followed too many people in a 24 hour period.
I am sure that if you use some of these suggestions you will not only grow your following but also improve the quality of your Twitter accounts.
You can cross-promote your business account and personal account if you wish, although I would not recommend it in some cases where your business life and personal life are not in alignment! You can find out more by clicking the button below.

1 Let’s be honest the reason you are even bothering to read this blog is because you want to earn some money or you want to promote your business to increase your profits. For most of us making money is the main reason we want our own course. It’s not for the glory, it’s not because we are committed to changing the world. – it’s all about the cash!
If you have a goal of $10k per month (which is the most common one) you need to make sales of about per day $333. So if you are selling your course at $97 you need to sell 103 of them per month to reach your target goal . That’s 3 or 4 every single day. If you decide to charge $297 for your course you will only need to sell one per day.
The question is how do you put a value on it? You could check out what competitors are charging for their course to get an idea of what your target market would be prepared to pay. Generally the bigger the problem you are solving or the value you are providing is what dictates the cost of your course. When you break it down to daily goals it seems much more do-able.
2 Everyone knows something that someone else needs or wants to the point that they will pull out their wallet or their credit card. So put pen to paper and do a brain dump of what you know or can do that you can turn into a course. If you are prepared to make the effort you could be pleasantly surprised.
3 A course is something that people who are already following your posts and videos are likely to buy and you can use email marketing, social media, funnels and FaceBook ads to promote it. You can get testimonials from them to encourage others to buy it.
4 Your course can be evergreen. It’s better to make your course around topics and problems that continue to exist ad infinitum. You can get a lot of satisfaction out of knowing that everyone who purchases your course has increased their likelihood of reaching their goals because of it.
5 Your course is something that you own 100% even though it has probably cost you next to nothing to make it. Being broke is not an excuse for not making a course. In fact it is just the opposite – it can be life changing.
I am in the process of creating a course to help people get started online. So watch this space!
BTW I accidentally posted this blog on a different website. I usually post them on this one
“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.” ― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
This is one of my favourite self confidence quotes, We really do need to find out how to gain self belief before we can do those things that will change our lives.
When we were learning to ride a bicycle or swim we probably had a family member or friend to give us those magic words of encouragement that spurred us on.
We need to find out how to boost our self belief if we want to succeed? Most internet marketers find that their friends and family are sceptical about this profession. It is essential to have enough self confidence to get you through the struggle that you will almost certainly have when you are establishing your home business.
Believe you can fly and you will.
Another way to gain confidence is to join a team of like-minded people and get training at hilarybassak.com/WA from those are successful even though they were once where you are now.
Setting a ridiculous goal may seem stupid to you but if I tell you this was suggested by one of my mentors, a guy who set the ridiculous goal of creating a multi million dollar company when he didn’t even have a website or a merchant account.
He set an intention for everything he did – every blog, every video, every webinar and every project. I suggest that you do the same. When you set your intention, put a date to it. if it is an income goal put a number on it and work out what your daily output needs to be to achieve it.
If you want to earn $30k a month -that’s $1k a day. How many sales do you need to make to achieve this income, how much traffic, how many leads? Figure this out and then take action.
This strategy is known as reverse engineering. Decide to implement it and you will probably find yourself and your business slipping into top gear within months rather than years.
Once you have set your goal you need to find the very best way to get started otherwise you will waste a lot of time unnecessarily. If your goal is to start an online business or create a presence online for your existing business then this is the best route you can take towards that goal.
Perhaps the most obvious way to get started internet marketing is to find a mentor. It’s always a good idea to learn from someone who has already experienced the ups and downs involved. It is rarely a smooth ride except for a very small percentage of successful online marketers. However you may not feel ready or able to invest in coaching fees until you have at least dipped your toes in the online marketing world.
You could try the do it yourself approach:
Find your passion
Search out the keywords on the Google Keyword Tool that are low competition and then use these in your marketing materials e.g. emails and blogs
Learn to Blog and then make at least 100 blogs
Learn Copy Writing Skills or pay someone else to write for you
Learn to make videos and make them on a consistent basis
Learn to make capture pages and sales pages and add them to your business
Check out the blog posts, emails and capture pages of the top marketers and try to analyse them so that you too can succeed
Create content for your social media Posts
The list goes on and on and on and then ……………………
When you have done all this start putting these new skills into action.
You can spend weeks and months and even years trying to learn the strategies, trying to hone your internet marketing skills. Have you ever asked yourself if all this is really necessary?
Well it all sounds very logical and lots of us have done it and been overwhelmed and ready to give up in despair.
Wouldn’t it be so much better if you could find a way to become an internet marketer from day one without all this preparation? Months of learning without earning may be what pushes the dedicated among us to keep on trying for the results that we know are possible. It’s not an ideal situation and most people aren’t prepared to continue with something that doesn’t seem to be producing the desired results. The question is would the remaining 90% of would be marketers quit if they knew that could have great results for their efforts and persistence?

Have you noticed something lately about online Marketers? It’s something very cool and exciting and it’s building momentum at a rapid pace.
Most of the marketers that I surround myself with are placing their focus on providing value, mindset, personal development and personal branding. The consistency of this new emphasis on value that is rampant among marketers from newbies to the top producers is creating a kind of tsunami.
They are falling over each other to provide the most value possible to everyone including strangely enough even their competitors.
Marketers have finally realised that the more they give value and disclose their secrets the more successful they become.
It’s not a short term policy but if you are serious about online marketing then you are in it for the long term.
Not only that – but knowing that they have helped others achieve the lifestyle they desire is very motivational for them. Wouldn’t you like to know that when your head hits the pillow every night you can be happy in the knowledge that you have probably helped someone change not only their life, but their family’s lives too.
Giving value is a win- win situation for everyone.
I remember my grandma who was forever telling me “a giving hand always gets”. It certainly worked for her and it will almost certainly work for you. So why not give it a try?
Yes, value is the new buzz word.
What if you were to give it a whirl and find out that it actually works? Maybe you are just starting out and believe that you don’t have anything of value to share yet. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
All of us have knowledge that we could use to help others by sharing it.
It could be something as simple as showing someone how to set up their own blog. If you don’t know how to do that yet or you would like some free training about blogging or social media or how to get more followers you can find out how to do those things right away.
Isn’t it time that you weighed up the pros and cons of internet marketing?

EXCERPT from the book – I Found My 100 Year Old Mother
“What could you possibly know about me?” I asked.
She replied with words that turned my life upside down and caused me more pain than I care to remember. My life had been relatively carefree up to that point, but now grew sad and dark. From that day onward, I spent far too much of my time in lonely contemplation and confusion.
“You’re adopted,” she said scornfully. She spat the words out, and ended the argument in an instant. It may have been foul play, but she got her point across more effectively than she could ever have realised.
I retorted weakly that she was wrong, but I had a very strong fearful feeling that her words were true. I remember once telling a friend that I thought there was something different about me. I said that I thought I might be adopted but I put that idea to the back of my mind. I don’t think I really believed it at the time but I suppose the doubt must have been rolling around somewhere in my mind.
I had always felt that I was in some way very different from the rest of my friends, but I’d never been able to really define it. .There was a heavy silence in the gym … not one of my friends spoke a word. My head was spinning, but I could never have imagined the impact that this incident would have on my life.
The rest of the school day is a haze to me. All I could think about was what was going to happen when I asked my parents the vital question. I knew that I had to ask it. As I cycled towards home on this fateful day, I decided that I must summon up the courage to ask my mummy if it was true. The time had finally come to figure out why I felt like an outsider, why my life was so different from the lives of my friends.
As soon as I entered the house, without even saying hello, I threw down my school bag in the hall and rushed into the kitchen, where my mummy was making one of her renowned apple tarts. I managed to splutter out the words “Am I adopted?” Then I waited anxiously for her answer.
She looked at me with a very worried expression, and then quizzed me to find out why I was asking this question. I told her what had happened at school. Part of me expected her to tell me that it was a lot of nonsense.
When I saw her reaction, I knew at once that it must be true. There is a big gap between thinking you might be adoptedand finding out that you are actually adopted. Suddenly I felt dizzy, very embarrassed, and uncharacteristically speechless. She hesitated for what seemed like a very long time and then promised that we would talk about it when my father came home from work.
I hastened to my bedroom on the pretext of doing my homework. I brought my cat, Ginger with me and sat down on my bed, feeling a great empty feeling that I had never before experienced – a sadness beyond sadness.
These were not my real parents and this was not really my house. There must have been clues, why had I not seen them?
I remember one of my mummy’s friends asking me what I would do if I found out that I was an adopted child. “Who would you love? Who would you prefer – your real parents or your adoptive ones?” She had asked this in the presence of my mummy. I saw it now to be a wicked question. Why on earth would she have asked something like that? At the time, of course, I hadn’t suspected.
I had answered that I would hate my real parents for leaving me, and love my adoptive parents for keeping me. It was the right answer at the time, but once the reality of adoption hit me, I knew that it was far from the truth.
I wanted to know who my real parents were, and I knew from that moment that I would try to find them. I was shocked by this revelation, deeply upset about having been adopted, and I had to find a way to hide these emotions.
It seemed like forever before my daddy came home from work. I wondered what he would say. He was the person I had always trusted to tell the truth. I was used to my mother’s constant fibbing, and I had just accepted this as the norm, but the idea that my daddy could keep up this pretence for so long was hard for me to fathom.
It brought up a range of questions in my mind. Was there some very dark secret about my birth? Was he was trying to shield me from something even worse than adoption? I thought that my mummy must have forced him to take part in this deceit.
Perhaps I would get the whole thing sorted out when I talked to him about it. Surely he would give me the real facts, and I would be able to understand why I’d been left in the dark for so long. Yes, he would be able to change the feeling that I had in the pit of my stomach. I thought there must be some reasonable explanation for this dreadful situation, and I had faith in my daddy to fix it.
Although my story was an exceptional one, one person in ten who will read this is adopted. That is what Steve Jobs, Stephen Spielberg, Marilyn Monroe. Aristotle and many other famous people have in common with me
Adoption is something that has been swept under the carpet even though it is a worldwide problem. Most people don’t know very much about it, including adoptees and their adoptive parents. Those who have not been adopted such as the doctors, social workers and authorities who create the rules know even less.
Freedom is something that most of us in the online marketing world are working towards. Seems like it is not too much to ask that everyone should be allowed to know who they are and their nationality. For me it was a forty year struggle to “almost” find out, but many adopted people carry the burden of not knowing to their graves.
So next time you hear the word adopted mentioned just stop for a few minutes and try to imagine how you would feel if your mother told you today that she was not really your mother, your father was not really your father and neither were the rest of your family including aunts and uncles. grandpas and grandmas – it is a big thought for anyone. -“Just Saying”
Most sales people lack a certain amount of confidence in their sales skills. The top ones have overcome this mainly by the fact that each successful close creates more confidence. There is no doubt that there are sales people with “the gift of the gab” as we call it in here in Ireland.
These silver tongued salesmen seem to have been born with this skill but it can also be learned. Many studies have been done to try and find the reason why some of them can “sell snow to the eskimos” and it has been discovered that they use “magic words and phrases” that seem to put people into a buying trance.
Apart from getting these master sellers to train the rest of their team, there is another way to improve the selling skills of those who are less gifted. This is by using sales scripts. Some companies keep their sales scripts under lock and key, but if you know the right answers to your prospects’ questions and objections you are much more likely to close the sale. You can prepare scripts yourself and practice them so that you won’t be lost for words when you are with a prospect.
If you would like some guidance on this and many other marketing skills, as well as free training on how to brand yourself and promote your business, all you need to do is find out more here right now!
