Wondering whether it’s worthwhile joining Periscope or not?
Will it grow your business and get you more leads and sales? The answer is a very big yes to both these questions and the good news is that it can do this from your very first scope.
There are a number of ways to monetize Periscope.
The simplest way is to create a giveaway and add the optin link to your profile. When some of your “peeps” (that’s your Periscope viewers) ask about your business you can direct them to this link. Others who are looking at your bio may just click the link out of curiosity especially if you have got an attractive bio.
Another option is to drive people to your website by having it on your bio and mentioning it on your scopes instead of having a giveaway.
If you are selling a physical product you can display it on your scope and demonstrate how to use it if appropriate.
You can offer coaching either free or paid or even create a membership site. You can send them to your facebook page or groups..
You can build up your followers fast by scoping consistently and following other scopers especially those who have a large amount of followers in your niche.
You can make helpful comments on their scopes and other viewers may decide to click on your comment and check out your bio
On each scope you should always ask your viewers to share your scope with their Twitter followers and Facebook followers – this brings even more followers to your scopes.
The possibilities are limitless, because you are able to engage with your prospects on live-streaming to a greater extent than with any other social media. These are just a few ideas and the same advice applies as for most other social media platforms – just do it consistently and you will get results that will surprise you.
You may be hesitant to make your first scope – this simple 9 step Periscope formula will make it easy for you to start scoping with confidence from day one.
Just follow the simple steps and you will be scoping like a pro. Just click the button below for instant access.
Martha Stewart has been extra-ordinarily successful in business. When she was asked her 10 top tips for success, she stated them clearly and concisely. She insists that she is an ordinary woman who scrubs her floors in her home. These rules are very simple and can be followed by anyone- so why aren’t there more female billionaires?
Most people don’t have a detailed plan. They don’t run with their ideas and find ways to finance them and market them. They allow themselves to get distracted from the main plan.
Many years ago I ran with an idea and found a way to finance it which included enough money to advertise it and get it off the ground. I was very excited about it but when I hit an obstacle which involved either finding another company that would blast freeze these “cosmopolitan” meals or raising enough money for blast freezers – I gave up. I allowed my disappointment to demotivate me. How foolish was that! – but keeping our emotions out of business is essential. Being an innovator is not enough. Great ideas and great intentions are not enough.
Implementation and follow-through and sheer dogged determination is what separates the men from the boys and the billionaires from the might have beens. A few years later big manufacturers started to sell frozen meals and now we all take them for granted. Fortunately life is not about the what ifs – there is always an opportunity around the corner, another path to success. Hard lessons can be the best lessons and they shorten the learning curve.
I know that the lead machine I am setting up is ideal for newbies and seasoned marketers. I believe that the blueprint is second to none. This is the opportunity that can work for anyone who follows Martha Stuart’s 10 simple rules. Her last rule is to work really hard but make sure you are compensated for your hard work. I believe that this lead machine will create millionaires. So why not you ?- why not me? – why not now?
I have grown my Twitter following from 10,000 to over 19,000 already this year. If you would like to gain more followers on Twitter, then you may find that the strategies that I have used will help you to increase your followers. The numbers are not nearly as important as the quality of the followers.
Use Twitter analytics (analytics.twitter.com) to check your profile visits, tweet impressions, mentions and followers. Keep testing and tweaking your bio and take note of which tweets are getting the most engagement (both your own and other peoples). The end result will be that you will achieve the desired outcome – more targeted followers.
There are a number of apps you can use to schedule your tweets -status brew is my favourite. I landed in twitter jail for about a week, so I decided to add my tweets manually for a while. I am not sure whether this happened because of the automation or whether it was the fact that I un-followed too many people in a 24 hour period.
I am sure that if you use some of these suggestions you will not only grow your following but also improve the quality of your Twitter accounts.
You can cross-promote your business account and personal account if you wish, although I would not recommend it in some cases where your business life and personal life are not in alignment! You can find out more by clicking the button below.

Your scopes stay up for 24 hours but you can save them to your camera roll and share them on all your social media sites

Most people set goals in life – both personal goals and work goals. Do you remember how some goals that you achieved in the past seemed to come so easily and yet lately the goals you have set yourself seem to be almost impossible?
Goal Setting and achieving them used to be a cinch.
You just made up your mind that you were going to achieve your goals and then did whatever you needed to in order to get it.
Then later on when you started to have career goals, you gave them a bit more thought and tried to make them S.M.A.R.T.(Google smart goals if you don’t know what that stands for).
Nowadays, when you go after a goal it involves:
the list goes on. ………
By the time you have finished with that lot you can hardly remember what the original goal was or even why you wanted it in the first place :).
So what’s to be done – How do you achieve a personal goal?
It seems that the simplest method is to:
1 Decide what you want – and envision it
2 Why you want it – and envision it
3 Set a deadline – and envision it
4 Chunk it into a series of very do-able steps – and envision them
5 Take massive action -Just Do It!
So why not give it a try? Envision a few short term goals and let me know if this strategy makes achieving goals easier for you.

Why buy gold now? is a question that many investors are wondering about. There are various opinions – some say there is a scarcity and the price will go up. Others say the price of gold has already peaked. Sometimes Gold can be rather shaky on the markets and causes some some concern. Every investment including gold and even diamonds involve some degree of risk.

Have you discovered how to overcome obstacles in your life? Ever hit a brick wall? This can happen in an instant and it can have some unexpected effects. I really did literally hit a brick wall. It was a neat recently built wall but when I crashed into it, it crumbled to the ground in an instant.
Unfortunately my car was a write off and so was the other car that was involved in the accident. For a few moments, I really thought I was dying because I took the full impact. Fortunately no-one else was hurt.
I loved that car, it was a brand new Skoda Octavia when I bought it and I had it for eight years. In all that time it did not have one single problem until it was spun into that wall by the impact with the other car.
I stumbled out of the car bruised and battered. At first I was afraid that I had internal bleeding and might not make it . Princess Diana flashed into my mind. . I was taken to the local hospital in an ambulance as was the other driver. I was x-rayed and although I was very badly bruised and it was very painful no bones were broken.
My son and my three adorable grandchildren arrived at the casualty and I was so glad to see them. I realised what a very lucky person I am. To survive the crash and to have such a loving family is more than anyone could wish for. There can be a silver lining when you meet life’s obstacles -it can highlight what is really important to you. It certainly did for me. It makes you re-assess your priorities.
We have all faced obstacles in our lives and Internet Marketers usually have to face more than most. Most of the top marketers have already discovered a way to break through these obstacles.
They have learnt about driving traffic, capturing leads and converting them into sales. They were able to access to the most up to date training, marketing strategies, a supportive community and so much more. The good news is that, even if you are a complete beginner, you too can access all these things if you are are open to it.
If you are interested to find out how you can get started right away. You can find out more here.
There is no doubt that we could all save ourselves a lot of time if we used more of the automation tools that are now available. They include apps, plug ins and browser extensions. As I create this blog I can see a number of extensions at the top of this page. I don’t really use them as much as I should.
All of them have been designed to make life easier and save time. By using them we can free up more time to produce better content for our websites and social media platforms.
Are you making the most of these tools yet?
Hootesuite, Status Brew, Klout, TailWind and Buffer are my favourite schedulers and IFTTT is amazing and it’s free. Internet marketers dream of passive residual income and what better way to achieve that than by automating as much as possible so that you can enjoy the freedom lifestyle.
Many of the phone apps make it so much easier and faster to gain followers and unfollow those who are not following you. When you automate your social media platforms, it leaves you with more time to engage with your followers and isn’t that what social media is really supposed to be all about?
I have already got my Twitter account about 80% automated and the next one on my list is Pinterest starting with Tailwind and IFTTT. The aim is to automate Pinterest to the same extent. You can get extensions for all these apps and that makes scheduling even easier.
I haven’t tried Lovelist yet – it’s an app that scans the barcode of products in stores and automatically puts them on your Pinterest Boards.
Writing 700 tweets and scheduling them to go out on a daily basis means that you can have a whole year’s tweets sorted in a matter of hours. That’s what automatically makes me jump for joy!
Everyone has got their own favourite schedulers – I’d love to hear about yours.
Joking of course, but this morning I came across an irresistible piece of marketing No I’m not gonna tell you who the marketer was or you would probably shoot straight over to his blog or his FaceBook page lol.
It really set me thinking and I just had to ask myself this question. Why should anyone choose to follow ME?
This awesome piece of attraction marketing started with a friend request on a very busy platform (not FaceBook). He told me that he had some goodies over on FaceBook and that he would really like me to go over there and check them out. That certainly aroused my curiosity so I duly clicked the link. That’s the point where I expected to be at least a little disappointed but I was wrong, so wrong.
It looked sooo professional. First thing I saw was a “Welcome to his home on FaceBook” and a stunning video of this very cool guy that had been taken at an event. It looked very professional and no doubt a lot of thought had gone into producing it. I wasn’t the only one who was impressed – that was clear from the comments.
I just couldn’t wait to click on his link but that is when the disappointment set in. I soon realised that I am already a member and so I can’t join his team. I am not saying that I could replicate his marketing but what I do know is that I could put a lot more thought into mine.
I’ll be watching this guy from now on to remind myself that there are examples of what separates the 2% from they rest of us and why it’s worthwhile to pay attention to what the best marketers are doing and learn from them on a daily basis. That is going to be my a top priority from today.
What could you do to pull people to your link? It’s worth taking some time to figure that out asap. It’s so easy to get carried away with the “busyness” of online marketing Maybe it’s time to start treating it more like a business and make sure we step back sometimes and check that the welcome mat and the red carpet are always at the fore-front of our marketing.
Now for the surprise! Recently I was invited to a webinar which was my introduction to a cutting edge new technology which will pull people to a message of up to 40 words (nothing to do with Twitter). The message can be a capture page, an announcement in fact whatever you want it to be. You can change this message at will and it will reach about 50% of mobile phone users within a hundred yards radius of wherever you are. It’s not spammy – it will come up on android phones which have bluetooth turned on. It goes to the alerts section of the phone just like FB or Instagram messages do. It remains on for about 30 minutes.
Imagine how many leads you could get if you took a trip to your local shopping mall or a football match or a marketing event – the mind boggles. I am calling it a money magnet because I posted some affirmations on my Twitter account (@hilarybassak), my favourite one was “I am a money magnet” and now I have found the tool that makes this possible.
Just click here to learn more about this incredible breakthrough in marketing technology and the good news is that you can be one of the first to get it if you take action now. I often end my posts and emails with the message “Hope This Helps” but in this case I feel certain that it will.
Every business needs a blog and everyone who wants to earn money on the internet should have one too. If you think of your blog as your home on the internet it will give you more ideas about what to write about. When you invite your friends to your house what do you talk about? When you meet clients in your office what do you discuss?
When you meet people offline you can see by their body language or their facial expressions whether they find your conversation interesting or not. How do you find out whether your online friends and followers are engaged with your conversation? One way is to pay attention to how many likes and shares and comments you are getting. Another is to ask them directly. “if you like my post please comment and share” encourages people to do so.
How To Make A Blog
Your blog is the place where you can build a relationship with your followers so it’s much better to direct people to your blog rather than to your sales page or capture page or link to your product. That’s one of the great advantages about blogs – you don’t need to do any more “cold calls”, You can attract targeted traffic with your content.
How To Make A Blog
Whether you are just starting a blog or you have already been blogging for some time there are so many ways that you can improve your blogs if you are prepared to do a little bit of research. Check out the top blogs and top bloggers. Don’t copy them but get ideas from them about topics and how to present your blog. You need to blog consistently and you need to share your blog on social media and to your email list. It does take time to earn money with blogging – it’s not a short term strategy. EXCERPT from the book – I Found My 100 Year Old Mother
“What could you possibly know about me?” I asked.
She replied with words that turned my life upside down and caused me more pain than I care to remember. My life had been relatively carefree up to that point, but now grew sad and dark. From that day onward, I spent far too much of my time in lonely contemplation and confusion.
“You’re adopted,” she said scornfully. She spat the words out, and ended the argument in an instant. It may have been foul play, but she got her point across more effectively than she could ever have realised.
I retorted weakly that she was wrong, but I had a very strong fearful feeling that her words were true. I remember once telling a friend that I thought there was something different about me. I said that I thought I might be adopted but I put that idea to the back of my mind. I don’t think I really believed it at the time but I suppose the doubt must have been rolling around somewhere in my mind.
I had always felt that I was in some way very different from the rest of my friends, but I’d never been able to really define it. .There was a heavy silence in the gym … not one of my friends spoke a word. My head was spinning, but I could never have imagined the impact that this incident would have on my life.
The rest of the school day is a haze to me. All I could think about was what was going to happen when I asked my parents the vital question. I knew that I had to ask it. As I cycled towards home on this fateful day, I decided that I must summon up the courage to ask my mummy if it was true. The time had finally come to figure out why I felt like an outsider, why my life was so different from the lives of my friends.
As soon as I entered the house, without even saying hello, I threw down my school bag in the hall and rushed into the kitchen, where my mummy was making one of her renowned apple tarts. I managed to splutter out the words “Am I adopted?” Then I waited anxiously for her answer. She looked at me with a very worried expression, and then quizzed me to find out why I was asking this question. I told her what had happened at school. Part of me expected her to tell me that it was a lot of nonsense.
When I saw her reaction, I knew at once that it must be true. There is a big gap between thinking you might be adoptedand finding out that you are actually adopted. Suddenly I felt dizzy, very embarrassed, and uncharacteristically speechless. She hesitated for what seemed like a very long time and then promised that we would talk about it when my father came home from work.
I hastened to my bedroom on the pretext of doing my homework. I brought my cat, Ginger with me and sat down on my bed, feeling a great empty feeling that I had never before experienced – a sadness beyond sadness.
These were not my real parents and this was not really my house. There must have been clues, why had I not seen them?
I remember one of my mummy’s friends asking me what I would do if I found out that I was an adopted child. “Who would you love? Who would you prefer – your real parents or your adoptive ones?” She had asked this in the presence of my mummy. I saw it now to be a wicked question. Why on earth would she have asked something like that? At the time, of course, I hadn’t suspected. I had answered that I would hate my real parents for leaving me, and love my adoptive parents for keeping me. It was the right answer at the time, but once the reality of adoption hit me, I knew that it was far from the truth.
I wanted to know who my real parents were, and I knew from that moment that I would try to find them. I was shocked by this revelation, deeply upset about having been adopted, and I had to find a way to hide these emotions.
It seemed like forever before my daddy came home from work. I wondered what he would say. He was the person I had always trusted to tell the truth. I was used to my mother’s constant fibbing, and I had just accepted this as the norm. But the idea that my daddy could keep up this pretence for so long was hard for me to fathom. It brought up a range of questions in my mind. Was there some very dark secret about my birth? Was he was trying to shield me from something even worse than adoption? I thought that my mummy must have forced him to take part in this deceit. Perhaps I would get the whole thing sorted out when I talked to him about it. Surely he would give me the real facts, and I would be able to understand why I’d been left in the dark for so long. Yes, he would be able to change the feeling that I had in the pit of my stomach. I thought there must be some reasonable explanation for this dreadful situation, and I had faith in my daddy to fix it.
Although my story was an exceptional one, one person in ten who will read this is adopted. That is what Steve Jobs, Stephen Spielberg, Marilyn Monroe. Aristotle and many other famous people have in common with me Adoption is something that has been swept under the carpet even though it is a worldwide problem. Most people don’t know very much about it, including adoptees and their adoptive parents. Those who have not been adopted such as the doctors, social workers and authorities who create the rules know even less.
Freedom is something that most of us in Empower Network are working towards. Seems like it is not too much to ask that everyone should be allowed to know who they are and their nationality. For me it was a forty year struggle to “almost” find out, but many adopted people carry the burden of not knowing to their graves. So next time you hear the word adopted mentioned just stop for a few minutes and try to imagine how you would feel if your mother told you today that she was not really your mother, your father was not really your father and neither were the rest of your family including aunts and uncles. grandpas and grandmas – it is a big thought for anyone. -“Just Saying”
